I am giving you MY methods for increasing income. Look 95% of my best stuff is free. I share my best strategies, tips and tricks to position yourself for growth success. Sure I share things that make you smarter, a better writer or how to pump yourself up. But I haven’t wrote a post that shares direct, simple ways to increase money per project.
I’ve written four posts to remedy this. Each post will share multiple ways to increase income for each project. This post teaches ways to increase your income $500.

Below I share 5 ways to make an extra $500. Last time we focused on $50 wins. $50 wins are important. A $50 win let’s you pay down a bill, save up for something unique and it proves to you that you are WORTH MORE.
Value Growth Secrets to be Worth More
Last list’s wins were value growth wins. What is Value Growth? Value Growth is when you increase the value you bring to a project. Increasing the value you bring to a project is the fastest path to doing less work for more money, landing larger projects and getting better clients.
Here are 5 ways to rocket your Value Growth and start putting serious cash in the bank.
Ways to Charge and Extra $500
1)Agree to a Project Deadline:I put this first because it is the least likely to happen. If you are vetting good clients you won’t get rush jobs. With that said it can happen. If it does and the project takes time away from other jobs or proposals charge more. Clients will pay to reduce scarcity while meeting demand. I’ve done three rush jobs in two years. The client appreciated it, paid in full and gave me awesome testimonials.
2)Secure a Retainer:This is high level stuff here. Retainers plow paths to income freedom. I have future posts coming about why retainers rock, how much you can make and how to negotiate them. Note:For some people $500 might seem like a large retainer. It isn’t. My general retainer for the month is $1500 for existing services (read, not new projects).
3)Bring More to the Table:Last post and this post are about Value Growth. The best Value Growth comes from investing in yourself. Learn more in your field! Go out and read some books, watch some Youtube videos, follow some great newsletters (mine is pretty awesome, join here). Bring your clients a richer experience and better results. Clients will pay more for the same amount of work if you do it better. Go. Get. Better.
4)Offer Unbeatable Guarantees:Most freelancers don’t like this idea. A money back guarantee can be scary to new freelancers. They are afraid to be took advantage of.
The Truth About Guarantees:
If you vet clients you will not lose money. Guarantees are powerful. They signal social proof at a HIGH level. Check out my Upwork profile here. I offer results. Once I offered results my responses went through the roof! Do I work with every client? No. But I am vetting better clients every day.
5)Set Up A Social Networking Event to Benefit a Client’s Project:This is the biggest thing here. I’ll cover this more in the $5,000 post (as this is a super high end offer). If you have a client wanting to promote, test or get feedback for their project, product or promotion this is the best action to take. What you do is offer to bring together like minded people in a social hangout (Google hangouts would be great for this) to give feedback to a client.

Your clients rarely, if ever, get honest direct feedback from their audience. Bringing together a think tank for them to sound off of will empower them, make you their number one freelancer and grow your own network.
